Akác-tanya offers many different activities, from horse riding to mountain biking.

If you like horses, you can try trail-riding on endless sandy fields and beautiful meadows and winding roads of acacia and oak forests. You can also ride trotting carts, donkey carts and horse-drawn carriages. Or petting the farm’s sweet foals.

If riding is not your thing, but you still want to go hiking and admire the beautiful landscape, take Nordic walking sticks or a mountain bike! If you want to enjoy a day with friends in the farm’s beautiful yard, then soccer golf is your sport!

Budapest

Guided tour of Budapest – Full day tour

The minimum number of participants for the trip is 8 people.

Departure is at 9:00 after breakfast. In the morning there is an opportunity to go on a guided city tour, during which we will explore the main attractions of Budapest – Heroes’ Square (on foot), City Park, Andrássy Street, along the way we will see the magnificent Opera House, St. Stephen’s Basilica and the mighty Parliament House. Then we explore Buda Castle on foot and visit Matthias Church inside. The city tour lasts approx. 3.5 hours with a coffee break (at the Castle Hill). Free time for optional lunch. The day in Budapest ends in the parking lot of the Great Market Hall, where we meet at 18:00. Transportation and guide services are included in the price.

Animal market

The market is held on the first and second Sunday of the month – a half-day trip.

Departure is at 9:00 after breakfast.

The market is the most popular excursion destination of all! We can guarantee that you get to know the real market mood. The market sells antiques, tractor spare parts, clothes and everything in between. Here you can make discoveries! Horses, cows, pigs and other domestic animals are also for sale at the animal market. Transportation included in the price. The market is organized on the first and second Sunday of the month – a half-day trip.

Gödöllő-Vácrátót

In Queen Sissi’s summer palace we learn about the everyday life of the royal couple and also about the magnificent architecture. Gödöllő Castle was one of Queen Sissi’s favorite places in Hungary, where she spent much of her time riding and hunting. After the palace tour you will have the opportunity to enjoy a cake with coffee “Sissi’s way”. After a relaxing walk in the park we move to Máriabesnyő. There we will visit the church dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The church also serves as a place of pilgrimage, because its construction is said to have happened through a miracle. After a short drive we arrive at the pretty village of Vácrátót, where we have lunch. After lunch you will have the opportunity to visit the 200-year-old lush botanical garden, where you can find more than 12,000 plant species.

Thermal baths (Dabas/Albertirsa/Cegléd)

We visit thermal baths with outdoor pools where you can relax on a hot summer day.

Dabas bath has a regular ground pool with water slides and a separate pool for children. In Albertirsa bath you can try the thermal water pool, whose water is +30Cº. In Eero’s opinion, thermal water rejuvenates a swimmer by at least five years.

When we arrive at the place we drink welcome-pálinka (fruit liquor) and taste “pogácsa” (salty little bread). We are going to see scenery of the Puszta from a horse-wagon ride.

During the horse show we will see the outstanding horse-handling skills of Hungarian shepherds. We will also see native Hungarian breeds. You won’t see this anywhere else but at the Hungarian Puszta! You can take part in the flogging competition, where you can win a bottle of wine from Lajosmizse’s own farm. You can visit the stables and see other animals in the yard.

The price includes: transportation and admission ticket to the show.

We will visit the approx. 800-year-old basilica of Ócsa, which as a building is unique in Hungary. After the church we visit the buildings of the traditional village of Ócsa and the up to 300-year-old row of straw-roofed cellars, which tell about the past times and the way of life in Hungary.

Ópusztaszer

Departure is at 9:00 after breakfast. – Full day excursion

The Ópusztaszer National Historical Park located approx. 70 kilometers south of Újlengyel. In the park you will learn about the early stages of Hungarian history. The impressive panorama-painting Feszty shows the arrival of Hungarians. The museum’s wax dolls vividly present the lifestyles of different eras in Hungary. In the wide outdoor area you can walk and learn about the way of life from ancient times to medieval times. Lunch can be enjoyed in a traditional Hungarian restaurant near the park. If there is still time and interest after exploring the park the journey continues to Szeged, the largest city in southern Hungary, the “sunny capital of Hungary” located on the banks of the Tisza river and right on the Serbian border. The city is famous for its own beauty, its university and its open-air theater in the summer.

Harness races and horse races

On Saturdays or Sundays (Note! The organizers can change the days.) – afternoon excursion

Departure is in the afternoon at around 15:30-16:00.

Kincsem Park is Hungary’s only and Europe’s newest trotting and galloping track. Its traditions are however more than 150 years old. Next to the buildings protected by the Agency of cultural heritage you can see brand new stables, an old and a new grandstand. You can get extra excitement for the day and guess the arrival order of the departures. The old buildings may be familiar from Madonna’s musical movie “Evita”, which was mostly filmed in Budapest.

Szentendre

Welcome to our excursion to Szentendre, best known for Hungary’s largest open-air museum. In the open-air museum a comprehensive guided walking tour will be conducted and we will learn about old ways of life and folk arts from different regions of Hungary. Then the bus takes us to the center of Szentendre. This small town is also known for its artistic past and its art camps. The old center, surrounded by numerous church towers has cozy cafes and small boutiques along the medieval alleys. After a short tour you have the opportunity to visit famous museums. For those with a sweet tooth there is the Marzipan Museum and shop, for those interested in art, the Margit Kovács Ceramics Museum Is the best option. At the new Christmas Museum, you can wait for Santa Claus all year round.

Danube Bend (Visegrád – Esztergom – Párkány, Slovakia)

Departure is at 9:00 a.m. after breakfast – a full-day excursion.

During this excursion we will visit the Danube bend famous for its beauty, and we will venture in the footsteps of Hungarian kings. The Visegrád Palace and the ruins of the castle take you into a whirlwind of history. After enjoying lunch we will drive along the Danube embankment road, which will lead us towards the first capital of Hungary, Esztergom. Saint Stephen, the founder of the state and the first king to bring Christianity to his kingdom was baptized and crowned here. Today the country’s largest church is located on Coronation Hill, which is the center of Hungarian religious life. After visiting the church we walk across the bridge to the other side of the river to Slovakia, Párkány (Sturovo), which is located just opposite Esztergom.

In late autumn you can try the everyday life of a wine maker. You get to participate in the different stages of wine making: from picking the grapes to storing them, depending on the time of your vacation. You can also participate in the wine harvest celebrations of nearby villages.
